Pee Wee AE ('98-'99), U12-U13 Travel, 2010-2011 (St. Thomas Minor Hockey)

The ST THOMAS PEEWEE AE STARS TEAM played some high intense, physical games to a closely matched opponent in the South Huron Sabres.  The STARS opened the series at home with a 4-1 high offensive pressure win.  Then next game went to the Sabres 1-3, tying the series at one apiece.  The next game was closer than the scoreboard said with the STARS coming out on top 3-0.  Not wanting to go back to South Huron and South Huron wanting to keep the series alive both teams came to play with their “A” game.  The game went back and forth, anyone could take control. 

The PEEWEE AE TEAM came out in game 2 of the series and dominated the Lancers in a 7-1 win and then held on in game 3 to win 5-4 in another hard fought battle.

OVER THE FIRST PLACE ILDERTON JETS AND OPEN THE SHAMROCK PLAYOFFS WITH A 2-1 WIN OVER LAMBETH LANCERS Ever since the PEEWEE AE STARS went to Oshawa for an away tournament they have come together and have been playing like a "TEAM".  The forwards are spreading out on the ice, wingers getting into position to receive the pass and then rush to the net.  The defense are playing a more physical game at both blue lines and are challenging and taking their opponents to the boards.  The goalies, well the goalies are playing  AMAZING!!!  The ST THOMAS PEEWEE AE STARS have picked the right time to ...

The PEEWEE AE STARS got back to team play and worked on the checking and passing game in this weekend’s tournament.  The STARS were up against some experienced and seasoned teams, but battled harder and harder to complete the breakout plays and rush to the net.

You know when that moment occurs when all the planets, moon, stars, sun all go into alignment and all the hockey gods are smiling on you, well that wasn’t this moment at the ST THOMAS AE TOURNAMENT this weekend for the PEEWEE AE STARS.
