It is hard to believe that it is the end of another successful season.  Wasn’t it just September???  The ST THOMAS NOVICE STARS TEAM will take away so much from this year.  One of the best things has got to be the smiles on the player’s faces as they enjoy their passion of hockey.  It is always a successful season if you keep the fun in it.  Amazing, how much was packed into this season.  We started as a bunch of kids playing in our first exhibition games against Amherstburg to a STARS TEAM winning the GLACIER POINTE THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT and finishing in the SHAMROCK “A” POOL.  Our ...

THE ST THOMAS NOVICE TEAM IS HERE TO PLAY - The ST THOMAS NOVICE TEAM fell behind in the last three round robin games of the Shamrock Playoffs, losing an emotional game to South Huron 2-3, and dropping one to Ilderton and one to Lambeth.   But the NOVICE BOYS are still coming and coming as a team, playing with pride for their jersey and ended up in a tie with Ilderton Jets 1 -1 in their last game.

THE ST THOMAS NOVICE STARS FINISH THE REGULAR SEASON WITH A WIN AND OPEN THE SHAMROCK PLAYOFFS WITH A COMEBACK TIE

YOU CAN WALK ON WATER! On Tuesday, the NOVICE STARS went to Dorchester to challenge the Dragons, but came up short on the scoreboard 4 – 1. The NOVICE TEAM came to play and they challenged the Dragons for the complete three periods of hockey.  The boys came out with great skating and team pressure, again making the passes and playing as a team.  The team not only played where the puck was, but played the game where the puck was going to be.

The ST THOMAS NOVICE STARS were not up to their usual standard of play and came up short, losing to the St Marys Rock 1 – 4.
