Saturday saw the Lambeth Lancers come to ST THOMAS and outplay the NOVICE STARS for two periods to beat the STARS. The NOVICE STARS team started to get back to the basics and hit the net for a couple of goals, just a bit too late in the game.
Once the boys started passing and skating hard for the puck, they bested Lambeth in the third period. Remember boys, we can’t let others do our work; we have to step up and make the plays happen. It’s our puck and we need it back. The defense got back on the puck and really forced the play out of the STARS end and back into the offensive end; where the forwards really wanted to get back to the red light district. The forwards started to get really hungry for the puck in the third period.
Let’s keep that focus going into the next game boys. The efforts of team play, sharing and passing the puck, digging hard in the corners and winning battles, hard driving to the net and pressure in the offensive end and we’ll get back on top team.
