NON  RESIDENT PLAYERS (NRP)

The St. Thomas Minor Hockey Association motioned to "allow travel teams (U12-U18) to select up to 3 Non Resident Players(NRP's) as per the OMHA regulation 3.5 iii). Non Resident Player Selection will be at the Coaches discretion. The acceptance of NRP's will be re-evaluated on a yearly basis."

Non Resident Players (NRP's) wishing to tryout for any St. Thomas "A" Travel Team U12 and above must:

1) Register with their home association and have NRP Passport emailed to [email protected]
2) Register for tryouts with St. Thomas Minor Hockey by completing the NRP Registration Form below.
3) Please remember to include all post dated cheques with your registration.

Refund policy does not apply to NRP Players - NRP players who are not selected will have their registration cheque returned.

All players wishing to tryout for a Travel Team must pre-register with STMHA

Players may be released after the 3rd scheduled evaluation skate.  Players must attend a minimum of 2 tryouts to be eligible for selection (exceptions should be submitted in writing to the VP of Travel Hockey before tryouts begin).

NRP PASSPORTS FOR ST. THOMAS PLAYERS:

Under the OMHA Made for Ontario Plan/Player Movement Policy the following regulation applies to St. Thomas players:

Regulation 3.5 vi) 2.
A player from an OMHA A Base Category Centre may tryout for:
    (a) AAA Zone (Elgin Middlesex Chiefs) as per current regulations
    (b) One (1) AA team in and OMHA AAA or AA base category Centre nearest his residence AND
    (c) Home Centre

Please note: London Jr Knights are an Alliance AA/AAA base category Centre so St. Thomas Players are not eligible.
