Game 5 Playdown
Sorry for the delay in the reporting of the game. My best friend passed away the day after, so I was unable to to anything for a week. Game 5 against Kent was a good game until the 3rd period. It was 1-0 going into the 3rd. Some undisciplined play early in the 3rd helped cost us the game. They scored 3 goals on a 5 minute powerplay to sink us. Kent scored 2 more late in the 3rd to win it 6-0 and eliminate us. Again the boys gave it their all. Nothing to be ashamed of. We passed up on a lot of shots, which looking back also cost us. The other coaches for Kent were impressed by our work ethic as they talked to Dan and I after the game. They told us we could fit in and compete well in the Blue Water League. That was nice to hear, as you don't hear stuff like that everyday.
