In the final game of the season the Midget AE's lost to Petrolia 6-0. Congrats to Petrolia for winning the championship. They earned it by playing better than we did. We were tired and flat and they were not. It's a little disappointing because we had two chances to wrap it up. The kids showed a lot character this year by playing hard game in and game out. Don't hang your heads, keep them high. The kids had all kinds of pressure and chances on Petrolia and could not find the back of the net. They seemed to capitalize on all of theirs. You always want a chance of winning and they made it to the final and had fun doing it. Thanks for the support of the players and parents throughout the season.

The series is going the full 5 games. Petrolia won by a score of 3-2 in St Thomas. We are tied at 4 points apiece. Petrolia scored with 1:33 left on the clock to win the game. It was disapointing to lose with a chance to wrap it up, it happens. Forget about the outcome and learn from the mistakes of why we lost. FOCUS on the gameplan! A couple of missed defensive assignments hurt the team, as that is usually the case with most teams when they lose. These kids are a great bunch of kids to coach and a lot of fun. Get back to the way you know how to play and go get them. Monday night in Petrolia at 8:40. Petrolia here we come!

Another hard fought win by a score of 3-2. That now makes it 4 points to 2. Hopefully a win tomorrow to wrap it up. Lots of penalties by both teams this time which makes for a difficult game to coach. 11 PK's were all killed today as they were missing the net. We killed off 12 of 14 yesterday. We had some great goaltending today to preserve the win. Good Job Brennan! It was not a good game by us but we got the win. The kids would bend but not break. We are getting beat up and bruised and the kids are holding their cool. We were lucky today but it makes up for the games we should have won. Back to St Thomas tomorrow, so try to end it.
