Atom AE ('02-'03), U10-U11 Travel, 2012-2013 (St. Thomas Minor Hockey)

We've all heard the expression "always a bridesmaid, never a bride", but when you've never ever been invited to a wedding, being a bridesmaid for a change doesn't seem all that bad! Our Atom AE Stars travelled to Detroit on the weekend to play in the Motown Cup Tournament, and ended up losing in the finals in the dreaded shootout to the BCH Icedogs.

Our Atom AE boys headed to Strathroy for dreaded school night travel game Tuesday. I had horrible flashbacks to a year ago when in this exact same situation we limped home after a 13-2 loss. This one was much closer, but we fell one goal short on the losing end of a 3-2 score.

Our Atom AE boys hosted Ilderton for an exhibition matinee at Timken Saturday, and as it turned out we were way too gracious of hosts. We followed a lack luster practice on Thursday with a very lack luster first 2 periods of hockey today. By the time we realized we were in a hockey game it was all but over, and the Jets flew home with an 8 to 2 win.

Our scheduled league home game against Mt. Bridges on Sat. Oct 13 has been cancelled but will be replaced in the same time slot with an Exhibition game against the Ilderton Jets.

Our Atom AE boys headed out to West Lorne for a Saturday late afternoon tilt against the Comets, and since it doesn't look like we are going to see any Saturday night hockey for the foreseeable future, we had better do our best to entertain our parents and ourselves on these boring Saturday nights. Hey, maybe the Kardashians' are on. lol
