A Tie That Feels Like a Win
The fourth goal of the Bantam AE team against Belleville was a buzzer beater to tie the game with 9 seconds on the clock. It was courtesy of Cody Howard with the assist of Mark Lewis. Marco Valdez earned the tie on net with 33 saves to break a 15 game loosing streak. Cole Eggleston added two huge saves on an empty net to give a last chance to St. Thomas when loosing 4 to 3 with 30 seconds to go.
Other scorers were Brendan Robison in the first period with the assists of Cody Howard and Connor Trumble. Chris Mikulinac scored in the second period with a mammoth slap shot from the point. Mark Lewis scored the third goal in the third period. Jaden Sunderland, Brendan Robison, Andrew Wood and Noah Ethier also earned assists during the game.
