In a slow paced manner, the Minor Bantams moved one step closer to knocking off Amherstberg in round 1 of the playdowns. The Stars played a grinding kind of hockey and the hard work paid off mid way through the third. Keaton McIntyre went coast to coast and buried it with 10 minutes to play. The locals remained focused and played a trap to shut down any comeback efforts. With their goalie pulled and less than a minute to go, JR Bradburn nailed the empty netter from his own blueline to seal the deal.
