Dorchester
Well, the offence was nice while it lasted. Unfortunately our boys couldn't buy one when we travelled to Dorchester on Sunday. We ended up on the wrong end of a 2-0 decision, mostly because we didn't find the jump that we have had over the past three games until the third period.
For the first two periods the Dragons kept us hemmed in our own zone for some long stretches, and if it wasn't for the goaltending of Rhett Devries and some near misses, it would have been far worse than 1-0 going into the third.The Stars seemed to regroup, and had several terrific chances to tie the game as we played a majority of the period in their end. Dorchester's goalie made four or five highlight reel saves and kept us off the board. They added one late on a bullet shot, and hung on for the 2-0 win.
Next Sunday we face the yet to be defeated team from Mount Bridges, so this will be a real challenge for our boys.We have played them hard each time we have faced them, and hopefully with our improved team play of late, we can make it a difficult game for them. Good job gang!
