Two Sister Kissers With The Bandits
The Stars and Bandits finished with a couple of 4-4 ties in a home and home season last weekend.  That was the two teams 3rd consecutive tie this regular season.

In the first of a home and home weekend with the Bandits the two teams traded goals with no team ever having more than a one goal advantage.  St. Thomas struck first with a goal by Jesse Tottle who took a pass from Folkard and buried to make it 1-0.  The Bandits quickly came back with one of their own to tie it up.  Late in the first our boys took to the power play that has been lethal of late struck again with a goal from Ryan Vandenbroek on a tick tack toe paly that also involved Folkard and Jacoletti.  Seconds later the Bandits tied it up again to make it 2-2 at the end of the first.  The game remained that way until the 5 minute mark when the Bandits took their first lead of the game.  Jesse Tottle scored his second of the game to knot it back up again from a perfect pass cross ice from the stick of Robert Shaw. Once again the Bandits took the lead and it looked like the unbeaten streak for St. Thomas was going to come to an end.  With our goalie on the bench and with 19 seconds left in the game and some great puck movement Ryan Vandenbroek passed the puck from behind the net to Derek Folkard who left the goalie no chance as he roofed it over his shoulder to tie the game to make it a 4-4 final.

The following night we took the show on the road as we attempted to beat the Bandits on their home ice.  Once again the Stars opened the scoring from a goal by Josh Butler.  Just as the night prior no lead was long lasting as the Bandits came back and tied it up just over 2 minutes later.  The Stars grabbed the one goal lead half way through the 2nd on Butlers second goal of the game top shelf off a rebound on a shot from Jesse Tottle.  Bandits scored again to tie the game with less than 2 minutes left in the second.  A goal from Jacoletti off his own rebound with 19 seconds left in the 2nd sent the boys to the break up 3-2.  Once again no lead was safe as the Bandits came back and scored half way through the third to tie the game once again.  Opposite of the previous night the Stars grabbed the late lead after Jesse Tottle scored his first of the game from a pass from his linemate Derek Folkard.  The Bandits managed to tie this one from a rebound that resulted in the tying goal and another 4-4 final score.  The Stars extend their unbeaten streak to 7 regular season games with 5 wins and 2 ties, on a roll.
