Atom AE ('01-'02), U10-U11 Travel, 2011-2012 (St. Thomas Minor Hockey)

Our Atom AE Stars finished off our year losing in the B finals to a very determined Mooretown team. At the start of the year if you had told me that we would make it all the way to the B finals, and still be playing meaningful hockey at the end of March, I would have taken it in a heartbeat.

Our Atom AE Stars opened the Shamrock League B finals against Mooretown Wednesday night at the Timken Centre. We have not been able to find a way to beat them yet this year, and that trend continued as we lost 3-0 to fall behind early in the series.

Our shorthanded Atom AE Stars went to Plattsville Friday for a one day tournament. We were missing four players on vacation, and one due to that rotten flu that has been going around, so there was a lot of ice time to be had by all the boys, and I'm sure they were all exhausted heading home with a bronze medal around their necks.

Our Atom AE Stars were hosting Lambton Shores for the third game of the series, looking for the sweep, and a birth in the Shamrock B finals. We were missing some key players, so we needed a full team effort to try and wrap this one up without a trip back to Thedford on Sunday.

Our Atom AE Stars visited the bustling metropolis of Thedford Wednesday evening for game 2 of the series against Lambton Shores. We have not been very good on the road on school nights recently, but after such a dominating win in game 1, surely we would not fall flat again and let the Predators tie up the series.
