Atom A ('01), U10-U11 Travel, 2011-2012 (St. Thomas Minor Hockey)

The Atom Jr. Stars defeated the London Bandits in 3 straight games to win the Alliance Bristol Atom A Playoff Championship.   The Playoff Championship ends a very successful season including a Championship in the St. Thomas Major Tournament, Finalists in OMHA Playdown Tournament, a 6-0-1 playoff record, a 12-1-2 league record in 2012 and a record of 28-20-7 overall.

The Atom Jr. Stars were at home this weekend for the annual STMHA Major Tournament.  With only 5 teams in our division, it was straight to the final for the two top teams after a 4 game round robin, and the Stars didn’t disappoint.  Cheered on by family and friends, the Stars captured home ice advantage for the final by finishing the round robin undefeated.

The Atom Jr. Stars faced the Waterloo Wolves last Sunday at home.  The Stars played perhaps their strongest game this season and although they came up short on the scoreboard, the 6-3 loss is not a true indicator of the game.

The Atom Jr. Stars traveled to London last Wednesday for a mid-week matchup against the London Bandits.  Hoping to rebound after a couple of tough games, the Stars unfortunately started slow and finished early, allowing London to score in the first minute and in the last minute, and to steal the win.

This season, the Atom Jr. Stars' coaches provided an opportunity for the players to help select our team captains.  With 15 of 17 players present at our weekly fitness night, each player had an opportunity to cast 3 ballots.
