Tough Weekend!
After a rough start to the Shamrock season on Saturday, the Novice Jr. Stars bounce back to end the weekend 1 and 1!
The season started off on a rough note Saturday afternoon in St. Thomas at the hands of the Dorchester Dragons. Our boys tried hard but could not catch up to the high flying Dragons. A real tough loss to start the season. On Sunday, the Novice Jr. Stars bounced back as they embarked on the first road trip of the season heading down the 402 to Mooretown. The Stars out skated Mooretown right from the first shift, scoring in the first minute. The line of Owen Kernohan, Kolton Levesque, and Logan Gardner were responsible for 4 of St. Thomas's 6 goals on route to a 6 - 0 victory. Tyson Cincelli recorded his first shutout of the season stopping all the Mooretown chances. Way to go Ty! All three lines stepped up and played positional hockey very well, out skating, and passing the opposition. And thanks goes to the defencemen who collectively had a very strong game!
Great job everyone! See you Monday at the rink!
Keep your stick on the ice!
