Conner Farrell's shorthanded goal in the latter stages of the third period gave the Midget AE team a 2-1 victory over Petrolia. St Thomas carried the majority of the offensive play throughout the game, the Petrolia team put up an effective wall keeping the Stars off the scoresheet early.

First of all I wish to congratulate all players on a tremendous showing at both Midget A and Midget AE try-outs. This decision was the hardest to make in all my years of coaching and is a testament to hard work done not only this year but also in past seasons. All players can give themselves a round of applause, thank-you for your effort and dedication. Please remember that if your name isn't on this list that STMHA is looking into a Select Team Venture for this up-coming season.

Thank-you to everyone who attended the try-outs this year. Everyone's hard work and effort did not go un-noticed. I wish everyone the best in the upcoming hockey season and the school year. Please remember that STMHA is looking into providing a Select Team at the Midget Level so please take advantage of that opportunity as well as our Houseleague. The coaching staff will be searching for AP's (Alternate Players) throughout the season, so I believe that everyone will give it their "best shot".
