The St. Thomas Minor Bantam Jr. Stars defeated the Amherstburg Stars on Saturday afternoon at the new Amherstburg Recreation Complex by taking both the game and the O.M.H.A. preliminary series 3-1. The Stars now advance to the Quarter Finals against the Niagara Falls Canucks next weekend. Only a never-ending sea of Hamilton players diving to block shots prevented the Stars from knotting the game at three. An empty net goal with 18 seconds remaining, following ...

The minor Bantam Jr. Stars handed the London Jr. Knights the broom on Thursday night at the Western Fair with a 3-2 win in their last game of 2010. The victory earned the Stars the sweep of the home-and-home series as well as the season series against the Knights. London has lost a total of five games all season, three of which have come at the hands of the Stars. With another respectable effort, Greyson Tottle extended his undefeated streak against the Knights to five games dating back to last season.
