Hughson's ATOM AE ousted from OMHA

despite great goaltending, solid defensive play and aggressive forwards, Woolwich nipped the ATOM AE's 2-1. This was the third game against Woolwich, all settled by the narrowest of margins. Our goal came in the 2nd period after slick two passes up the left side, Rhett picked up the pass and wristed a beauty over the shoulder of the Woolwich goalie, assists went to Joseph and Nik. Woolwich evened the score 50 seconds later as they swarmed the ATOM AE net. Midway thru the 3rd period, Woolwich scored the winner 2-1. The ATOM AE team pulled their goalie, sustained pressure on the Woolwich defence but could not bulge the twine to even the score.
This ends the OMHA playdowns, bring on the Shamrock playoffs.
