Midgets win over Sarnia with .1 second remaining!!
The Elgin Chrysler Major Midgets won a nail bitter on Sunday, Nov 8th on home ice thanks to Brett Beattie's unassisted goal with less than 1 second remaining in the 3rd period.

Sarnia took advantage of 2 St. Thomas penalties scoring on both chances, ending the 1st period 2-0.  St. Thomas returned the favor in the 2nd period when Tyler Beaulieu scored a power play goal, assisted by Brian Yurek.  Beaulieu scored his 2nd goal, assisted by Sean Gordon to tie it up before the end of the 2nd period making it anybodies game.
The 3rd period was a back and forth struggle and with seconds remaining on the clock it looked like we would have to settle for a tie.  St. Thomas had possesion of the puck in the neutral zone, but defencman Brett Beattie couldn't find an open forward to take his pass.  Beattie entered Sarnia's end and after a quick battle against the boards, he made his way to the net... scoring with .1 second remaining.
