Burlington, the Stars needed to win on Sunday in order to advance into the finals of the Alliance Playdowns. Cambridge started strong and bolted to a 4-1 lead through 2 periods, before the Stars turned it on one last time. St. Thomas scored 2 more late , but could not get the equalizer to force overtime. St. Thomas is finding it hard to finish out a game the way that hey started it. Matty Devan's goal in the second period put the Stars in front, but some penalty troubles and bad bounces found the Stars at the losing end again, falling 2-1 to Cambridge. The Stars have 2 more to play in the three team round robin and are 0-2. Game three is next Saturday @ Timken at 1:45pm v. Burlington and Game 4 Sunday @ 1:00pm in Cambridge. Go Stars Go!!
