Major Bantam Tryouts 2014

Non Resident Players (NRP'S):
This year the St.Thomas Major Bantam team may select up to 3 NRP players. To qualify for tryouts please see or contact Lisa Smith to be sure all paperwork is correct and complete.
* Players are responsible to bring their own water bottles & mouth guards are mandatory.
Tryouts will consist of three 1.5 hour practices along with an invite only exhibition game. Practice times are posted on the STMHA website, be sure to check to see if there are any changes. The final team roster will posted on the Team website.
Individual Evaluations:
Coaches and evaluators will be checking for each players strength in skating, speed, passing, shooting, checking and stick handling. Also we will be looking at the players hockey sense and their positional play in all areas of the ice. This will include the players creativity with the puck and their play without the puck.
Goaltender Evaluations:
Coaches and evaluators will be checking for each goalies strength in skating, agility, reflexes, angles, puck control and handling. Along with their overall drive and desire to stop the puck.
* Just a reminder that all players must have at least one parent complete the Respect in Sports on-line course.
*** Any player making the final roster will require a passport as one of this years tournaments is in the states.
