Kinsmen Minor Atom Stars played Riverside Rangers today in game #3 of OMHA playdowns beating them 6-2. Riverside scored on the first shift of the game. Derek Johnston answered back by scoring the first goal for the Stars, unassisted. Myles Carlson scored assisted by Sam Hardy in the second period leading the way into the third 2-1 for St.Thomas. Tyelor Goddeeris started the scoring in the third period on a tape to tape pass from by Brayden Latimer.
One minute later Sam Hardy banged one in the net from Derek Johnston. Tanner Rickwood added another goal and this put the Stars up 5-1 over the Rangers. Kyle Brothers scored the Rangers second goal of the game and Rickwood came back with a short handed goal on a beautiful pass from Mark Woolley. The Stars lead the six points series 4-2. Next game Saturday January 23 at Timken Center @ 1:45.
