Welcome Players and Parents to St. Thomas Novice Hockey!
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the convener of the Novice Division this year. I look forward to a great year of development and growth with our players!
Myself and the Coaches are going to do our best to ensure that all players, regardless of level of skill, learn throughout the year in the areas of sportsmanship, team play and individual play.
More importantly than all, we want to create an environment that is centered around having fun! If the players are not having fun, they will not continue to play the game.
The evaluation skates are scheduled for next week, Tuesday September 30th and Saturday October 4th. Please check the schedule for the times that coincide with your last name. The skates are going to be a 10-15 minute warm up followed by a scrimmage. We are asking for volunteers to help with on ice "refereeing" and to work the gates for the players. Shortly after the two skates, your coach will be in touch about which team your player is on. I ask that the players are there half an hour before their skate to go over any pertinent information. I realize how tight that can make the 5:00 time but try your best.
We are still looking for 1 more coach so if you are interested in helping out it would be greatly appreciated.
If your player is a goaltender, could you get in touch with me asap as we only have 1 designated goalie from the registration sign up.
