Welcome to the U9 MD2 tryouts!
I am excited to get started and to see the players on the ice. Our goal through this process is to provide a positive and encouraging environment where each player can give their best effort and enjoy the experience. During tryouts, players will be evaluated on three key areas:
Effort – giving their best each time they’re on the ice
Coach ability – listening, learning, and showing a willingness to develop and improveSkill – demonstrating their individual hockey abilities
I understand that tryouts can be both exciting and nerve-wracking, so please encourage your child to simply work hard, listen, and have fun. At this age, those qualities are just as important as skill development. After the final tryout on Tuesday September 9th, the final roster will be posted on our website sometime that night. Thank you for your support and for helping us create a great atmosphere for the players developing into even better hockey players each day. I am looking forward to a fun and competitive week of hockey!
