U14 Hockey – 2025 Tryout Announcement
As we head into the upcoming season, I want to welcome all players and families to the tryout process. This year brings new challenges and new opportunities. With open borders and an expanded player pool, the level of competition will be high. We are committed to running an efficient, focused evaluation process to ensure we carefully build and select the team for this upcoming season

Tryout Schedule:

• Monday, May 5 | 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
• Tuesday, May 6 | 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
• Each day will be broken into two games. Rosters for Monday and Tuesday including what time slot each player will play in will be available the night prior. Every player is encouraged to do their own warmup for their timeslot to be prepared for puck drop
• Players may be assigned to one or both games based on numbers and evaluation needs
• Initial roster decisions will be made after Day 1. There will likely be players released on Day 1

Exhibition Games:

• Wednesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 8
• Rosters for exhibition games will be posted the night before each event.

Expectations:

• Compete from the first puck drop to the last whistle.
• Play hard. Play smart. Play for each other.
• Effort, compete level, and attitude will carry as much weight as skill.
• Entitlement, excuses, or lack of urgency will not be part of this team’s identity.

Communication:

Typically, I encourage questions to wait until the tryout process concludes; however, I recognize that some players may be exploring other opportunities.
If you have concerns about your player’s standing, please feel free to reach out via email to [email protected]
I will always try to provide an honest and respectful answer to help families make informed decisions about what is the best fit for them this upcoming season

Final Word to Players:

Nothing will be handed to you.
Every shift is an opportunity to prove yourself.
Control what you can control — your effort, your attitude, and your compete level —

We are excited to get started and look forward to seeing everyone at the rink.
