Congratulations to the U11A Stars who were Regional Silver Stick Finalists in Alvinston!
U11A Stars showed incredible work ethic and determination to battle their way to the Silver Stick Finals Sunday, December 8.
Stars opened the tournament with a 4-4 tie against the 2024-25 Ontario U11A third ranked Talbot Trail Blazers, followed by a 2-1 win over Strathroy Rockets. Stars tied Belle River Jr. Canadiens 3-3 in round robin play and went on to defeat Riverside Rangers 6-3 in the semifinal.
Stars faced a strong Mount Brydges club in the championship game, falling 6-3.
Game MVPs for the Stars were Brad Willaert (C), Blake Zylstra (LW), Renan DaPonte (G), Liam Brown (D) and Harrison Malpage (D), respectively.
This is back to back Silver Stick championship appearances for the 2014 Stars group.
