I have sent out an email to all registered players who added an email address to the signup. It outlines the tryout process as well as fees etc. Below is the email that was sent.
U13 A/AA Parents,
Just touching base via email regarding the upcoming Tryouts for the ELGIN TIRECRAFT U13A/AA team. We are expecting over 60 players to be on the ice separated into 2 sessions. I have been working on an online tryout list for the last 2 weeks. It changes every day. The main reason for this email is to let you all know that I am finalizing the Groups today. Unfortunately, I have had to make some changes to the groups to try and keep the numbers equal. Please look today at the tryout list so that you can see the time that your player will be on the ice. I will not be updating the online list after today.
If there are other players that you know are coming to tryouts, but are not on the list, or if your name is not on the online list, please show up for the first skate and we will schedule the player into one of the groups.
I believe we will have two tables for registering , one for local players and one for NRP’s as each will have different paperwork to check.
Local Players will also need to ensure that you have paid the tryout fee. You can pay at the arena while registering. We do not have a debit machine, and etransfers will hold up the line. There is an ATM machine in the arena, however I would not trust that it is working so please try to make it to the bank prior to showing up at the arena or make other arrangements prior to tryouts.
Here’s what’s required of NRP’s:
Must bring to tryouts:
- NRP passport from your local center (assoc. president or shamrock rep will provide that for you)
- Copy of birth certificate
- $90 tryout fee
- you will not be allowed on the ice without these

What To Expect:
- When arriving at the arena you will be given a Pinny with a pre-determined number. These pinnies must be returned to the registration desk after your skate. Please do not take these home.
- The tryouts will consist of warm-up drills and then an inner squad scrimmage for each of the two sessions on both Saturday and Sunday. Goalies will rotate through the scrimmage.
- First round of releases will be made Sunday night by 8pm. These will be posted on our Team Webpage.
