PHARMASAVE MAJOR PEEWEE STARS WIN EARLY BIRD
The Pharmasave Major Peewee Stars played in the Garden City Early Bird tournament on the weekend.  The tournament started Friday with a 1-0 win over the Burlington Eagles and then a 4-1 win over Welland.

Saturday brought two close games and the Stars scored late in the third to defeat Milton 3-2 and the final preliminary game they gave up a late goal to end in a 1-1 tie with Guelph.  The Stars probably played their best game of the tournament early Sunday morning and defeated Whitby 3-0 in the semi finals.

The finals were a rematch with the Burlington Eagles, the game was back and forth and entered the third tied 2-2.  The Stars dug down and played a perfect third to win the championship 4-2.  This was a total team effort as goal scoring was spread around, sound defensive play and solid goaltending.  This was an awesome start to the year....................GREAT JOB BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!
