Minor Peewee Stars Win Orillia Winter Classic
The Minor Peewee Williams Funeral Home Jr Stars endured a long weekend and came home champions of the Orillia Winter Classic on the weekend.  The tournament started Friday night with a 3-1 win over North Toronto.  Saturday morning the Stars had to face the host team from Orillia.  Playing one of their best games in weeks they were all over the Terriers from the start and prevailed 7-2.  Saturday night brought on a tough game against Grimsby.  The Stars started strong but fell apart and took a tough 6-0 defeat.

Despite the bad loss, the Stars advanced to the semi finals to play the team from North Toronto again.  A sluggish start to the game found the Stars down 1-0 midway through the first.  A light suddenly went on and the Stars cruised to a 8-1 win and a shot at redemption against Grimsby in the finals.  The Stars came out flying from the start and built a 2-0 lead.  Despite mounting pressure from a determined Grimsby team, the Stars held on for 3-2 win.

Congratulations Stars, hard work and consistent effort paid off!!!!!!
