Stars Win Guelph Power Play Tournament
The St. Thomas Novice Junior Stars had a fun and successful weekend at the Guelph Power Play Tournament. The team has really come in to their own dispersing the scoring among 3 strong lines, playing very strong defensive hockey and exhibiting some strong goaltending. The team only allowed only 4 goals in 6 games through the tournament.

St. Thomas went undefeated in the 4 game round robin play beating Dundas, Stratford, Owen Sound and Pickering. The Stars entered the semi's in second place where they handily knocking off the 3rd place home squad - Guelph Gryphons 7-1. 

It was on to the final for another tilt with the Warriors of Stratford. The game was a hard fought battle. A combination of great defence and a strong fore check helped the Junior Stars to a 3-1 victory and their first tournament win of the season.

The coaching staff would like to thank and congratulate the players for all there efforts. Every single player on the team contributed to this tournament win. Each one should be VERY proud!
