Article by Brian Masschaele The St. Thomas Tyke Select Stars (06-07) came away winners despite a thrilling, triple overtime loss in the finals of a weekend tournament in St. Thomas. This group of kids demonstrated determination, teamwork and a fun-loving attitude throughout the weekend to nearly take this highly competitive tournament. Things got off to a great start with a convincing 6-1 win over Wallaceburg which was followed by a hard-fought 3-3 tie with Lambton Shores.
