Tyke Select 7 (06), U9 MD, 2013-2014 (St. Thomas Minor Hockey)

The Select 7 team had a great weekend at the Niagara-on-the Lake Tournament.  All players played hard throughout the entire tournament.  The weekend started with a very exciting 1-1 tie against Barrie.  The Select 7’s then won the next two games beating Acton 7-1 and Simcoe 5-0 to earn them a berth in the Final where they would have a rematch against Barrie.  The team worked extremely hard in the final and posted a 5-1 victory to win the gold medal.  Congratulations to all players on a hard fought tournament and a well-deserved championship. 

The Tyke Select 7 team had a great weekend in Ann Arbor.  We started off with an amazing win in our opening game.  The Stars scored with just 13 seconds left in the game for a 5-4 victory.  The team played well the entire weekend against players who were 1 and 2 years older than our players.  The team had the opportunity to play at the Yost Ice Centre: Home rink of the University of Michigan's Men's Hockey Team.  Thanks to Ian Hume current Equipment Manager at U of M (former St. Thomas Star personnel) for giving the players and families a tour of the U of M hockey teams dressing room and ...

I would like to thank all of the players for attending the tryouts for the Tyke Select A and B Teams.  All of the players worked very hard, which made selection to the teams very difficult. The following players were successful in making the 2013-14 Tyke Select A and B Teams.

Hi Everyone, Below are the two lists as discussed at the tryout.  Please bring your son or daughter to the appropriate practise times.  This will help with our selection process.

Program Details: Tyke Select 7 is being offered for players participating in the STMHA house league.  Players are selected through a tryout process.   Select teams will have additional practice time and participate in exhibition games with other centres.  They may also participate in tournaments.   Fees: The fees for the Tyke Select 7 team will be $150.00 per player.  These Travel Fees cover costs of:
