Dorchester Tournament
The Tyke Select Green team played their first tournament this week in Dorchester.  Despite a strong effort from all the players we didn't get the results we needed.

We played our first game against Chatham and came up short with a 3-1 loss.  Keaven Milmine scored the only goal while earning the game M.V.P. for our team.

In our second game against Mount Forest we over powered them to a 7-1 win.  Ethan Miron led the way with 4 goals, Mike Roth, Alex Popen and Coleton Robison-Sareh adding singles. Colton Wiacek, Brennen Smith and Keaven Milmine each had an assist. Brennan Bradley played a strong game at center, while Evan Clarke turned in a strong effort on defence.

In our third game against Dorchester we played a close game until the the third period, but eventually fell to an  8-5 loss.  Mike Roth and Brennen Smith had two goals a piece with Keaven Milmine adding a single.  Maclane Stringle played a strong game in net. Jayce Smith, Hunter Nurse, Ethan Miron, Keaven Milmine, Coleton Robison-Sareh and Mike Roth each had an assist. Mike Roth was our game M.V.P..

Our last game against Centre Wellington 1 didn't turn out the way we hoped. Needing a win to move on, our team looked tired from playing alot of hockey in the past couple of days and lost 5-3.  Coleton Robison-Sareh had two goals and Brennen Smith had one.  Ryan Bonter played a strong game in net and was the game M.V.P. for our team. James Martin, Alex Popen, Colton Wiacek, Jack Pigram, Ethan Miron and Keaven Milmine each had an assist.

Although our record was 1-3, the boys played hard and continued to improve each game.  I'm looking forward to the rest of the season as each player progresses into great young hockey players.
