Tyke Select B Tryout and Program Information

Tyke Select B Tryouts will be held:
Sunday Nov. 4 – 10:00am – Timken Centre STMHA Rink
Saturday Nov. 10 - 12:30pm – Timken Centre STMHA Rink
Sunday Nov. 11 – 9:00am – Timken Centre STMHA Rink  

Tryout Fee:
$60 payable at the first tryout – if you have already paid the tryout fee, you will not be required to pay it again.

Program Details:

Tyke Select B is being offered for players participating in the STMHA house league.  Players are selected through a tryout process.  

Select teams will have additional practice time and participate in exhibition games with other centres.  They may also participate in tournaments.



The fees for the Tyke Select B team will be $150.00 per player.  These Travel Fees cover costs of:


·         20 hours of ice for practices and exhibition games

·         Socks

·         Referee’s

·         2 Travel team banquet tickets

·         Travel plaque

·         Team Picture


Tournament Registration fees are also the responsibility of the team.


Eligible Players:

Participation in the Tyke Select B team is open to any players born in 2005 or 2006 registered with St. Thomas Minor Hockey. Because this is a “Travel” team players must also live with the boundaries of St. Thomas Minor Hockey, if you are unsure if you meet STMHA residential guidelines, details can be found on our web site under Registration or by contacting the STMHA office 519-631-3607 or [email protected]

Tyke C (’06):

If there are enough players registered, STMHA will offer a 3rd Tyke Select team, geared to players born in 2006.


Practice/Game Times:

The Tyke Select team will have ice time on Sundays mornings, for practices and exhibition games.
