This is a great win for all hockey fans big and small in St. Thomas and surrounding communities.

STMHA is already scheduled to host the Boston Pizza Cup Minor / AE Tournament that weekend.  All of a sudden the entertainment factor took a huge jump for the 30 or more teams from outside the city that have added our tournament to their 2017-2108 schedule!

The board of STMHA is being included in the planning discussions.

Volunteers from within St Thomas Minor Hockey Association may be required.

More information will be posted as it is shared with our association from Rogers Sportsnet and the City of St. Thomas.

To get a feel for what is coming......Rogers Sportsnet has put together 4 - 30 min "The Best of Rogers Hometown Hockey" episodes.  First episode airs tomorrow night (Thurs Sep 7) @ 9:30 pm ET

True Sport
The True Sport Principles are a rallying point for True Sport members — they are universal. The principles can be brought to life in any sport at any level, from playground to podium. An Olympic rowing squad can embrace these principles with the same sense of pride and purpose as an elementary school, an old-timers' league, or a community hockey arena. For sport to be truly good and have the opportunity to make the greatest difference, all seven of these principles need to be in play at all times, working in perfect balance with one another.
