OMHA Approves STMHA Jr. STARS for AA Hockey
STMHA is pleased to announce OMHA approval for AA hockey beginning in the 2026/27season, pending OHF approval. The Jr. Stars will continue to offer B and BB programs,strengthening the competitive pathway for St. Thomas players.

The St. Thomas Minor Hockey Association (STMHA) is pleased to announce an important
milestone for competitive hockey in St. Thomas.

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) has approved the STMHA Jr. Stars to operate
at the AA level beginning in the 2026/27 season, pending final approval from the Ontario
Hockey Federation (OHF).

This approval represents a significant step forward for STMHA, providing local players with the
opportunity to compete at the AA level while continuing to develop within their home
association.

STMHA will also continue hosting B and BB-level teams across applicable age divisions,
ensuring a clear and structured development pathway from B and BB through to AA hockey.
Final OHF ascension and formal league alignment are expected to be completed in the new
year as administrative processes continue. Additional details will be shared with members as
they become available.

STMHA would like to thank the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) and the Ontario
Hockey Federation (OHF) for their guidance and support throughout this process. This
announcement marks an important step in the continued growth of minor hockey in St. Thomas.
