IP1, IP2 and Local League Update

Thank you all for your patience and understanding as we work hard to rollout this new season and return to hockey.

With the challenges of Covid as well as the re-naming and new classifications of birth years we have been fielding numerous questions regarding how everything will unfold.

We have received questions regarding our Local League program, as well as our IP program.

IP1 and IP2 – Ice time starts Saturday October 2nd

All ice times are updated on each team’s calendar which is located on our St. Thomas Stars website.

Below are the team calendar links for each age group. Please take a look, familiarize yourself with your team’s page as this is where information will be posted throughout the year.

U7 IP1 (2016-2017) - https://stmha.net/Leagues/2528/Calendar/

U7 IP2 (2015) - https://stmha.net/Leagues/2533/Calendar/

Please have players dressed and ready to go.

Local League - This is in essence our “travel House League”. It will be made up of all players who do not wish to try out for the A or CC teams as well as anyone who does not get selected throughout that Rep Team process.

All Local League teams will play in the Lambton Local League https://lmll.ca/.

All local league players will go through an evaluation skate so that we can divide the players into fair and equal teams. Evaluation skates start Friday October 1st for some age groups..

All ice times are updated on each team’s calendar which is located on our St. Thomas Stars website.

COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS

We are still looking for coaches and volunteers for the IP age groups as well as some of the older Local League ages.

If you are interested in helping this year, please contact me so that I can update our list. I will be reaching out over the next day or so to everyone who has sent me their contact info and volunteered.

Please feel free to direct any questions you may have to myself regarding any of these age groups.

Thanks

Sandy Gillis

True Sport
The True Sport Principles are a rallying point for True Sport members — they are universal. The principles can be brought to life in any sport at any level, from playground to podium. An Olympic rowing squad can embrace these principles with the same sense of pride and purpose as an elementary school, an old-timers' league, or a community hockey arena. For sport to be truly good and have the opportunity to make the greatest difference, all seven of these principles need to be in play at all times, working in perfect balance with one another.
