Lessons were learned this weekend. An old saying
proved true. “That hard work can beat talent when talent doesn’t work
hard” The boys let the first game in the tournament slip away to a
team that out hustled us. But they were able to dust themselves off and
managed to climb to the top of a tough grouping.
With a shutout during round robin play and one a the semi finals, it was clear the team just needed a little “gel” factor. Their was no one standout player, as it was a total team effort to bring home the gold medals. As with any tournament, memories were made, friendships were strengthened and some hardware was brought back for the STMHA showcase. Great job Stars! The coaching staff couldn’t be more proud the way we represented St Thomas.
