Bantam AE Starts the OMHA Playdowns With the Right Foot
Submitted By marco valdez on Saturday, January 23, 2010
The Junior Stars received a visit from the Riverside Rangers to start the OMHA playdowns at the Timken Center. This series promised a lot of excitement and both teams did not disappoint.

Riverside came strong in the first period with 13 shots on net until they got ahead on the scoreboard with 4 minutes to go in the period. St. Thomas responded the aggressiveness with some aggressiveness of their own to balance the shots on net and the scoreboard in the second period with a goal by Cody Howard just 3 minutes to go in the episode.

The third period was back and forth but the Stars got the upper hand with an unanswered goal by Christian Kootenayoo. Marco Valdez shut the door after the first period to get away with the victory.

With this win, the Bantam AE Stars go ahead in the series taking the first two points up for grabs. The team travels Sunday to Riverside to continue the hostilities.

Good Game Guys!!

Go Stars!
