What Levels of Hockey does STMHA offer?

 

St. Thomas Minor Hockey offers the following levels of hockey:

 

Initiation Program – Is a structured “learn to play” hockey program designed to introduce players and parents alike to the games basic skills. The program enables players to become contributing members of a team; to develop self-confidence and to experience a sense of personal achievement. These goals are achieved in an atmosphere of cooperation and fun. Fees - $700



***Local League for players U8-U18 (new for 2021-2022 season) - St. Thomas Minor Hockey will offer Local League hockey for both our U8-U18 age players.  Local League includes both home and away games that require travel to our neighboring centers such as Port Stanley, Aylmer, Belmont and Lambeth among others.  Fees- $775+$150 Local League fee=$925

Travel Hockey -
St. Thomas Minor hockey offers 2 levels of Travel hockey for players interested higher level of competition. Players selected for a Travel teams are required to pay the General Registration Fee of $775 and an additional Travel Fee of $300. Additional costs will also include Tournaments (entry fees, hotel costs, meals, gas etc) and Jerseys, and Development.  Teams may choose to fundraiser to off set some of these additional expenses.

 

There are 2 levels of Travel Hockey “A” and “B”. If enough players in an age group a 3rd level of "B-2" will be added


A Travel Teams
– The top players are first selected for the “A” team.  The St. Thomas “A” Travel Teams participate in the Alliance AA/A Seeded League and travel to centres such as Cambridge, Waterloo, Sarnia, London, Burlington and Stratford.

 

B and C Travel Teams– STMHA offers additional Rep teams as needed in U10-U11, U12-U13, U14-U15, and U16-U18 . These additional teams offers players who have been not been selected for an “A” team to still participate in Travel Hockey. The B teams play in the Shamrock hockey league and travel to centres such as Lambeth, Mooretown, St. Marys, Lucan etc. B and C level offers a stepping stone to “A” hockey.
