Tryout Info
U14 A/AA Parents, Players.
Once again we are expecting a large number of players for tryouts. we are expecting close to 60 players to be
on the ice separated into 2 sessions for all 3 tryout skates.
I will be dividing the list into 2 groups. These groups will stay the same for the entire tryout process. I will split the two groups just so that we have an even number in each.
As this current week goes on I will start adding names to the groups as they become available to me from our registrar. I will also confirm our times for our skates as we are currently waiting to see if we will have two 1 hour sessions or two 45 minute sessions for the 3 skates.
Monday May 1st - Times TBD
Tuesday May 2nd - Times TBD
Thursday May 4th - Times TBD
Some things to remember:
Local Players will need to ensure that you have paid the tryout fee. You can pay at the arena while registering. We do not have a debit machine, and etransfers will hold up the line. There is an ATM machine in the arena, however I would not trust that it is working so please try to make it to the bank prior to showing up at the arena or make other arrangements prior to tryouts.
Here’s what’s required of NRP’s:
Must bring to tryouts:
- NRP passport from your local center (assoc. president or shamrock rep will provide that for you)
- Copy of birth certificate
- $90 tryout fee
- you will not be allowed on the ice without these
What To Expect: When arriving at the arena you will be given a Pinny with a pre-determined number. These pinnies must be returned to the registration desk after your skate. Please do not take these home. The tryouts will consist of warm-up drills and then an inner squad scrimmage for the three (3) sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Goalies will rotate through the scrimmage. First round of releases will be made after Thursdays skate. A list will be posted on our Team Webpage.
Please also remember you must have your body checking clinic completed.
Good luck to all. Come ready to work and bring your best. Leave it all on the ice!
Please feel free to contact me at anytime.
