Submitted By Lisa Smith on Wednesday, December 01, 2010
St.Thomas Presstran Major Atom Jr. Stars attended the Dan Pulham Memorial Hockey Tournament in London over the weekend and brought home the hardware.

Major Atoms started off the tournament playing their rival the  London Bandits and won 1-0.  Later in the evening they came up against Hamilton Tigers and they were defeated by a score of  4-2 with an empty netter.

Early Saturday morning they played against Mitchell.  Doing the math they figured they need alot of goals to make it to the semis.

The Stars beat Mitchell 5-0, making to the semi-finals.

In the semis they took on the Oakridge Aeros and won 2-0  to go to the finals and playing against the London Bandits.

In the final the stars lead  2-0 after the first period and with awesome goaltending and fine defensive play holding the Bandits off the score sheet the Stars won the Championship game 2-0.  In five game the stars had four shut outs.
