Lambton Shores Christmas Tournament
Despite coming first in their pool with 3 shutouts, the ATOM AE STARS lost a hard fought semi final to rivals Lambeth in overtime.

Game 1:               5 – 0 win over West Lorne

Chris got the nod to start the tournament and had a fantastic game nailing the net shut to earn another shutout.  Although the team came out a little sluggish, the boys outplayed West Lorne.  Tysen Hunter scored a pair, assisted by Noah Dos Santos and Dylan Buhler.  Josh Hare had a great game, being everywhere on the ice and came out with 2 more goals, assisted by David Gauthier.  Caden Beshara netted another, as the defence had a very strong game as well.  Later that day...

Game 2:               8 – 0 win over Glencoe

The team fired on all cylinders beating Glencoe 8 – 0.  In this game the goal tending of Matt Beckwith stood tall and proud to equal the shutout of the first game.  Helping out Matt, was a strong core of defence by Noah Allen and Carson Nurse saving the puck from getting anywhere near the net.  Caden Beshara and Josh Levesque took all forwards wide to the boards, reducing the scoring chances.

Game 3:               3 – 0 win over BCH (Bayfield/Clinton/Hensall)

Then off to the semi-finals against an evenly matched team –Lambeth Lancers.  It was a tight game with St Thomas leading 1-0 after the first from a goal by David Gauthier assisted by Devin Robison-Sareh.  Lambeth came back to tie it up in the second and took the lead half way through the third.  With 2 and ½ minutes left in the third Noah Dos Santos fired a shot into the top shelf to tie the game 2-2.  The game went to overtime – we took a hooking penalty and with Lambeth on a 4 on 3 man advantage a goal was scored.  Somehow the shot made its way to the back of the net, crushing the teams dreams of winning this tournament.
