DEC 16 2020 - COVID 19 UPDATE
Dear Hockey Parents, Coaches, and Players;

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to keeping our community safe. As you know, St. Thomas Minor Hockey Association (STMHA) falls within the catchment of the Southwestern Medical Health Unit. We follow guidelines and protocols determined by our partners in Public Health and the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF), working together for the health and safety of our players and coaches.

The COVID-19 response framework developed by the Government of Ontario includes targeted, preventative public health measures and restrictions that can be introduced and removed as needed for each region, based on data and other indicators.

STMHA Board of Directors are anticipating that our area will move to RED ZONE as of 12:01AM, Monday, December 21, 2020

After consulting with City of St. Thomas Staff, the STMHA Board, have decided to PAUSE (not cancel) all hockey activities over the holiday season and possibly longer so that families can be together and safe.  This pause will take effect as of Sunday, December 20, 2020 @ 11:59 pm.

The Board will revisit this decision in early 2021.  This pause will allow the STMHA Executive to work to ensure that any return to play possibilities in January will be implemented in a safe manner that reflects the most up to date measures and with guidance from the Southwestern Public Health Unit and OHF.

Our hope is to resume all hockey activities as soon as safely possible.  We will be extending the season to account for the paused dates.

Thanks for your continued support and understanding through these challenging times !!   Please watch for updates in beginning of January 2021.

Wishing all a Safe, and Happy Holidays!!

STMHA Board of Directors
