Jr. Stars win exhibition match down the road
in West Lorne.

Excellent passing, good hard skating and effort paid dividends as the Novice Jr. Stars won their exhibition game against the West Lorne Comets 3 - 2.

The forwards outstanding fore checking and aggressive play lead to many scoring chances and a great game dominated by the Jr. Stars.  The West Lorne goalie kept the game much closer than it should have been as shots on goal were definitely in the Jr. Stars favour.

Trevor Loebach started in net for his first ever start and stopped 3 of 4 shots with a very good performance.  He looked confident squaring up to their shooters and said he had a lot of fun in net.  Tyson Cincelli played the 3rd period and was solid backstopping the team on a 5 on 3 penalty kill and then shutting down a 6 on 4 penalty kill with the west Lorne net empty to end the game.

Overall the team has played well in their last two games and have been rewarded with two wins.  Team work, hard effort and excellent passing have been the keys to the teams success of late.  We are hoping to build on this momentum as we host Mount Bridges on Saturday at the Timken Centre and then travel up Hwy 4 to Lucan on Sunday.

Go Stars Go!!!
