STMHA Board Announcement : Equipment Policy Change
Attention all 2017-18 STMHA Travel Teams!

Great News!!! Effective this upcoming 2017-18 season, the STMHA board has approved an initiative for all Representative Players (A & AE) on the following teams (Novice AE – Minor Midget) to purchase their own Custom Stars Jersey (home and away).

There will be an “Introductory Special Pricing Offer” for this season of $100 for both jerseys (home and away).   In an effort to help keep costs down, STMHA is contributing $60 towards the purchase for the first jerseys.

The expected lifespan of the jerseys are approximately 3-4 years.  Each year there will be a player Signing/Fitting day where your child’s jerseys will be inspected for defects and proper fit by the Equipment Committee.  After the initial order, the jersey replacement cost will be $70 + HST per jersey for replacement orders.  More information regarding this change will be discussed during your Team Signing/Fitting meetings for the upcoming season.

STMHA will host at the Timken Center a “Team Signing/Jersey Fitting Day” on Saturday June 17, 2017 and Saturday June 24, 2017 for all “A” travel team players to be properly fitted for the upcoming season.  Team coaches will let you know the day of your Team Signing/Fitting and when payments are due.  There will be separate Team Signing/Fitting days for Novice A, All AE and Minor Midget teams once those teams are selected n the fall.

The STMHA Board believes the benefit of this initiative is to create a better player experience as players will be able to choose their own numbers and will be able to keep their jerseys when they grow out of them, or they no longer play for STMHA.  In addition, we feel the jerseys will be better taken care of, since they are player owned.
