Bantam AE’s take a bus trip to Riverside and comeback with the win

After a bad loss last week in the second game of the first series of the OMHA playdowns, the St. Thomas Junior Stars Bantam AE team showed that they are in the race to win. They played a much cleaner and controlled game that earned 2 more points to go ahead 4-2 points and put them in the position of taking the series Sunday at home.
The score was opened with seconds to go in the first period with an unassisted goal by #10 Tyler Beadle. During the second episode, #16 Matthew Roberts received a gift from #9 Cody Howard that put him in a breakaway position that ended up with his first goal of the season and second goal of the game for the Stars. The seal was deposited in the third period with a goal scored by #9 Cody Howard assisted by #3 Jaden Sunderland. The discount came with just over a minute to go in the game to spoil the shutout.
In net, #1 Marco Valdez stopped all but 1 of the shots from the Riverside Rangers to record his second win of the OMHA playdowns. With this win, Marco’s record improves to 4-1-1 with 1 shutout in his last 6 starts.
