With great effort and continued improvement, the Novice boys put together their 2nd home win, and 3rd win in a row with a 5 - 2 victory over Strathroy.
After falling behind twice in the first period, the boys battled to take the lead for good early in the 3rd period. Their strong defensive play throughout the game was evident by limiting Strathroy's chances and with 2 successful penalty kills.
Brad V. had another strong showing on defense. Zach M., playing his first full game of the season made many key saves, including one off the mask to shut down the oppostion after the first period.
The Game MVP puck was awarded to Tyler M. who opened the scoring for St.Thomas after pouncing on a loose puck and backhanding it into an empty net with the goalie out of position. He added an assist later in the contest while playing his best game of the season.
