Snapping a Losing Streak
Oct. 17th vs. Dorchester Dragons
After a disappointing 3 game losing streak, the Novice boys put together a solid team effort to defeat Dorchester 9 - 4. Everyone worked very hard at both ends of the ice for our first at home victory of the season while goalies Zach M. and Taylor H. played their best game so far allowing two goals each. Noteable preformances include Brad V. and Drake H. with a solid defensive game as well as Russell O. and Tommy Z. who continue to show their offensive skills.
Our Game MVP puck was awarded to Nik Churchill who executed his assignment on defense with great confidence. Nik also managed to score a hat trick including an empty net goal from centre ice while killing a penalty in the final two minutes of the game.
The Novice boys continue to work very hard during practice to improve their hockey skills and teamwork. Our victory was a direct result of those efforts.
